Laura has worked for a long time in the field of youth conservation and has spent fifteen years with the Student Conservation Association in numerous capacities, ultimately as senior vice president of the Program.

Candace graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and earned a degree in African-American Studies from Emory University and a master's degree in Public Policy (MPP) specializing in education, family and social policy from Georgetown University. Before joining The Corps Network, he was in New York at the Federation's Employment Counseling Services (FEGS), where he developed an educational program for his now emblematic Bronx program (which serves more than 400 young people a year), which works mainly with young people in foster care.
