The City of Boise is dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and has taken action to promote sustainability within the community. One such program is the Marin County Green Business Program, which is part of the California Green Business Network developed by Bay Area public agencies in collaboration with the U. S.
EPA Department of Toxic Substance Control of the California EPA and the business community. This program is offered in many jurisdictions in the state, including all nine Bay Area counties. David is the Idaho program director of the American Farmland Trust (AFT), a national non-profit organization that focuses on protecting farmland, promoting environmentally friendly farming practices, and keeping farmers on the ground. As president of ICSA, David leverages his experience in systems thinking, project development and community outreach to create opportunities that strategically connect stakeholders, projects, and grant funding in order to fulfill the ICSA's mission of being a center of knowledge on regenerative agriculture in Idaho. The AFT is the only national agricultural organization that approaches its work in this comprehensive and holistic way. The City of Boise has partnered with these organizations to promote sustainable practices within the community.
